Q. Is shooting dangerous?
A. Anything can be if you aren’t careful. Just watch Funniest Home Videos. Seriously though, here are four things to always remember when around guns.
- Treat all firearms as loaded, until you have personally inspected the firearm.
- Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction. (down range)
- Always keep your finger off the trigger and trigger guard until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.
- Be sure of your target and what is around and beyond it.
Q. I have a fear of guns. How can I overcome it?
A. Sadly this is pretty common. Bad impressions come from television, movies, thugs, and bad people abusing our tools for their bad intentions. Maybe someone let you shoot a gun that was way too big (ouch!), or you or a friend personally experienced a gun-related trauma. If you want to gain some confidence here we suggest you first call us come see us and tell us your story. We will show you the right way, the safe way… you might surprise yourself and have a little fun too!
Q. How can my Law Enforcement department use your range?
A. Certainly. Just have a decision maker from your agency contact us and we’ll work out the details and schedule. Like we say, “You serve us so we gladly serve you.” If you’d like to join as an individual or family member we have discounts.
Q. Do you allow rifles?
A. Yep. .22’s are allowed any time. The big stuff may be subject to special hours. The range is built to handle anything up to a .460 Weatherby Magnum (for the uninitiated that’s for when Sasquatch goes crazy).
Q. How about “bottleneck” caliber pistols?
A. You had to ask didn’t you? Sure, just call ahead to see if special rifle hours are in effect.

Q. How old to I have to be to shoot?
A. Any age is welcome provided they are with a responsible, supervising shooter 21 years of age or older.
Q. Can I share a lane?
A. Sure, as long as all safety rules are observed.
Q. Why do you encourage membership? Can I shoot just for the day?
A. Membership encourages proficiency. You don’t have to worry about paying for more range time. You simply come and shoot. It also encourages community, like a secret club, except that we have a big sign out front. We also offer a QuickShot Day Pass.
Q. What are your hourly rates?
A. Less than our lawyer’s. Actually, we don’t charge by the hour. We use DEFCON times as follows.
Q. Will you have any competitions?
A. Yes. Keep an eye on the calendar of events.
Q. Is there a way to get a FREE membership?
A. Glad you asked! For every person you successfully refer, you we give you a free month of membership. So, if Jesus brought in his twelve disciples we would give him a free year. Of course, we weren’t around back then, but do eagerly await His return!
Q. Do you sell ammunition?
A. Yes, most varieties we have. A few rare calibers we don’t but likely can get for you.
