Lonnie Ashby brings a lot of training and experience to ProShots Indoor Range and Training. He is partner, general manager and lead firearms instructor at ProShots. He served the Winston-Salem Police Department for over 20 years, many of them as firearms instructor and S.W.A.T. team member. Lonnie holds certifications from the NC. Justice Academy, Smith & Wesson Academy, Sig Sauer Academy, Remington, Ruger and Colt Manufacturers. He is also a certified NRA Pistol Instructor. He has trained at some of the most prestigious Law Enforcement and Military facilities in the country. In addition to private instruction and general introduction to firearms classes, Lonnie also teaches an outstanding North Carolina Concealed Carry Class twice a month at ProShots. He has recently added a Refresher Concealed Carry Class for those folks who have a permit, but need an update on the new laws concerning Deadly Force, the Castle Doctrine and other changes in legislation that affect your concealed carry rights.

Richard Talbert has also been a long time firearms enthusiast. His specialties at ProShots include retail and inventory management, customer service and satisfaction, as well as social media coordination – if you haven’t liked ProShots on Facebook, you are really missing out on Richard’s wacky sense of humor! In addition to his management duties, Richard is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor and a Certified Range Safety Officer. Richard also works with the BSA Venture Crew 933 (teenage boys and girls) that meets at ProShots the first and third Thursdays of every month.

Betty Ashby manages the daily operations and administrative tasks for ProShots Indoor Range and Training. She brings a tremendous amount of leadership and organizational skills to our group, as well as a passion for teaching and helping others. In addition to her management duties, Betty works with customers on their firearms needs and writes our ProShots E-Blasts to our customer data base. She is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and an NRA Certified Instructor for the Refuse to Be A Victim Program. Betty loves working with our ProShots Lady Hot Shots group and particularly enjoys instructing new women shooters.

Ben Ashby has long shared his Dad’s love of firearms and the shooting sports. He also hopes to follow his Dad’s footsteps into Law Enforcement with the Winston Salem Police Department. Ben recently earned his Associated Degree in Criminal Justice from Forsyth Technical Community College. An avid outdoorsman, Ben brings with him a youthful enthusiasm, a love of the industry, an extensive gun knowledge as well as a constant hunger to learn more.
