What Does Beginner Training for Firearms Cover?

Here at ProShots, we are passionate about firearms, and we want to help more people learn how to use them. To do this, we offer a range of top-notch beginner training classes designed to help people learn to shoot. We do understand that for some people, even those who are excited to learn, the prospect of taking their first beginner training class can be intimidating, so we have put together this brief overview of what that training covers. If you know what to expect, you can focus on taking in the information and building your skills that much more easily.

What Does Beginner Training for Firearms Cover?

  • Safety- One thing that all beginner training courses cover is firearms safety. This is an all-important concern when using guns of any kind, so we will spend a significant amount of time explaining the proper procedures and reinforcing that knowledge multiple times along the way.
  • Firearms Terminology- Another thing that our beginner training covers is firearms nomenclature and terminology–in other words, we’ll teach you the names of each part of the gun, as well as the terms for various stances and other related matters.
  • Loading and Unloading- A key part of beginner training is learning to load and unload your gun safely and quickly. Our team will guide you through this process and help you practice it on your own until you’ve got it down.
  • Marksmanship Fundamentals- Lastly, our beginner training courses cover the fundamentals of marksmanship, including proper grip, stance, sight picture/alignment, trigger manipulation, etc. We’ll help you learn to shoot as accurately as possible and make sure that you are using good technique.
