During an appraisal, we can check the make and model of the gun, the condition of the exterior and bore, the functionality of the gun, and the rarity of the gun. Here are a few times when you might consider getting a gun appraisal at our shop.
- Before buying a firearm: Especially when planning to buy a used firearm, we recommend having a gun appraisal to check the overall condition, functionality, and safety of the gun to determine if the purchase is worth it. We can also appraise new guns to help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
- Before having the gun insured: It’s always important to have your firearm insured in case of any damage or other incidents. Our gun appraisals can provide you with all the information you will need to get your gun insured, especially if you have an older or rare gun or have since lost the receipt to your gun.
- Before selling the firearm: Gun appraisals can also be helpful when preparing to sell your gun. We can tell how rare your gun is as well as the make, model, caliber, age, and condition of the gun and its components.
- After being gifted a gun: If you have been gifted or inherited a firearm, we can appraise the gun to assess the type of gun and its rarity. We can also tell you whether it’s still useable.
