At ProShots, we know that a great day at the range starts with having the right information. Below, you’ll find answers to common questions we get asked about our facility, safety procedures, classes, and more.

Where is the range located?

We are located at 1013 Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, North Carolina.

What are your normal business hours?

We are open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. Kindly note that the last check-in for the range is always 30 minutes before closing.

Do I have to have a membership to shoot at the range?

Yes, we require membership in order to use the range. We offer several membership tiers that provide significant benefits.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are a Federal Firearm Licensee (FFL) and operate a fully insured facility that meets all state and federal safety regulations for indoor shooting ranges.

Do you offer any type of warranty on the firearms you sell?

Yes – many of our new firearms come with a lifetime warranty in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty. If your gun fails due to a defect, we will repair or replace it for you at no additional cost.

Am I allowed to bring my own firearm and ammunition?

Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own firearms, as well as their own ammunition providing that it is not armor-piercing, incendiary, or tracer rounds. If you are using one of our rental firearms, we do require that you also use our ammunition.

Do you provide on-site gunsmithing services?

Yes, we have a professional gunsmith who is available for everything from basic cleanings and sight installations to complex repairs.

What is the age requirement for shooters?

To use our range, you must be at least 12 years old. Minors (12–17) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times, and all shooters must follow our safety instructions. We take pride in providing a family-friendly experience that prioritizes safety, understanding, and practical skills without being intimidating.

Am I able to rent a firearm to use on the range?

Absolutely – we have a huge selection of rental handguns and long guns. This is a great way to “try before you buy” if you are considering purchasing a new firearm.

Do you provide North Carolina Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) classes?

Yes, we are proud to host regular NC Concealed Carry Handgun certification courses. These comprehensive courses cover the legalities, safety, and marksmanship required to obtain state permits.

What types of classes or training do you offer?

We offer a diverse roster of classes, including Basic Pistol, Basic AR, and even private one-on-one instruction. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a first-timer shooter or want to sharpen your skills. Our courses are intensive and focused on thorough training — we don’t cut corners, and you’ll leave with an enhanced understanding of how to safely use your firearm with confidence.

Do you offer NC Hunter Safety Courses?

While we do not have an in-house instructor nor do we offer in-house courses, we are proud to partner with local game wardens, who regularly use our facility to host NC Hunter Safety Courses.

Can I book a lane in advance?

Lanes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I use a rifle on your range?

Yes – we’re one of the only ranges in the area that allows rifles in the indoor range! You cannot have any type of steel cased ammunition.

Am I able to have a firearm shipped to your facility for a transfer?

Yes, we provide FFL transfer services for those who purchase firearms online or from an out-of-state dealer. Please contact the front desk for information on current transfer fees and documentation requirements.

Do you buy used firearms or accept trade-ins?

We do! All firearms must be inspected by our staff before we can provide a formal offer.

Do you sell ammunition and accessories?

Yes, we have a diverse inventory of ammunition, as well as accessories like holsters, cleaning supplies, optics, and safety gear. You’ll find everything you need for a successful day at the range.

What are the safety rules for the range?

A complete list of range rules is provided to all visitors upon check-in. Safety is our top priority, and we expect full compliance at all times. All firearms must be cased when you enter and exit the building. When you are on the range, always keep the muzzle pointed downrange and your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

What does a basic cleaning from your gunsmith include?

Our basic cleaning services are designed to ensure your firearm is in top condition and include a complete field strip, ultrasonic cleaning of appropriate components, lubrication, and a safety function check.

How do I sign up for a membership?
You can sign up in person or through our website. We offer several tiers of membership that include various perks and savings opportunities.
